Damages created by Ondoy

September 27th, 2009

I wish this post find you well. We are aware that not all of us are fortunate enough to have a dry place to stay in. This includes us, the Mariano family of Bacoor, Cavite.

We were stranded inside our home having an approximate 2′ deep flood-water. I have below a picture taken 1232hrs of Sept 27, 2009.

This is the first time in our almost 2-year stay that flood water entered this house. In spite of our precaution to elevate our home, we were still approximately 5″ deep under water. I have here our Guard trying to make sure that water is kept out:

Good thing that Sadhana’s craddle is well elevated:

…and our precious fridge that my wife and i lifted in this trolley-converted-stand:

My wife and I are so sad that the Christening of our daughter did not pushed through. But we mourn more for those who have lost more than we do.

Kawawa talaga yung mga nabiktima ng Typhoon Ondoy, buti na lang at medyo naka-recover na tayo ngayon. ~
